Dear Davis County,
Please know that absences due to illness in our schools are creeping up. Please also remember that we have implemented a policy that will require students and staff to wear masks in buildings for a period of time when the absence due to illness percentage reaches 10% for 2 consecutive days.
Here are the current number of absences due to illness as compared to the 10% threshold that would trigger mask wearing in each building:
High School: Absent due to illness = 34, 10% threshold = 38
Middle School: Absent due to illness = 23, 10% threshold = 37
Elementary: Absent due to illness = 32, 10% threshold = 48
Please see the Davis County CSD's Administrative Policy on Mask Wearing in the attached letter sent to staff, students, and parents this past October.
Sincerely,
Dan Maeder, Superintendent

More lost and found items in the Middle School!
Middle School Students and Parents: We have several lost and found items in the cafeteria. Please feel free to come and look through the items to see if anything belongs to you. They will be removed from the building after we leave for Christmas break.
DC Parents:
Parent Teacher conferences are tonight from 4:30 to 8:00 PM and Thursday 1:00 -4:00 PM and 5:00 to 8:00 PM. We will not be holding conferences in the Middle School gym this year, you will need to schedule your appointments either virtual or in person.
Thank you!!
Why should you go vote on November 2?
You can help Davis County students have new and improved structures and equipment to improve their learning environment.
By going to vote you can help our school stay in the State Secure an Advanced Vision for Education Fund or the SAVE Fund. This Fund helps schools pay for things such as LED lighting in the elementary and middle school, new weight room, multi-purpose room renovations, renovations to the support service building, and so much more.
In order for the school to continue getting SAVE Funds they need to keep the Revenue Purpose Statement or RPS. By keeping this RPS our district will be able to continue making schools better for learning and extracurricular activities.
Where do the SAVE Funds come from?
SAVE Funds come from sales tax money not property money so keeping SAVE Funds will not affect your taxes. Going to the polls on November 2 can allow our school to continue renovations in support of education for the children of Davis County.
