Prom is an exciting time for our students, families, and the Davis County Community. Typically prom has been on the third Saturday of April, but this year Easter falls on that weekend. It was initially moved to the fourth weekend, but after looking at the calendar I considered the second weekend. The biggest reason I began looking at April 12th was because there is no school for professional development on April 11th. This allows students and staff to decorate without missing instruction.
Prom sponsors, Mutchler Center, and the After Prom committee have all confirmed this day works. Most importantly, I met with our juniors and seniors to discuss this possibility. They were all for it, as many told me that having all day that Friday to get hair, nails, etc., would be much less stressful and give them way more time. They had no concerns and were all for moving it.
Therefore, Davis County Prom will now be on April 12th, 2025. More details will come out once it gets closer, but we wanted to allow plenty of time for planning. Thank you for your continued support of Davis County Schools!
