Iowa Assessments: The Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress (ISASP) replaces the Iowa Assessments as the accountability test for all Iowa students. Assessments will be administered in the following subjects and grade levels:
Mathematics: Grades 3-11
English-Language Arts, including reading and writing: Grades 3-11
Science: Grades 5, 8 and 10
The new assessments are developed for the state of Iowa and align with the grade-specific Iowa core standards. The new assessments were developed in collaboration with Iowa educators. The new assessments will be available online and in paper and pencil form. Our 3rd and 4th graders will be participating in the assessments online the week of March 18 - 22.
For more information about the testing, you may go online to iowa.pearsonaccessnext.com. By selecting the test preparation tab at the top of this page, you can access practice tests for each grade & subject area. Feel free to spend time with your child exploring these practice tests and the other resources that are available.
Please make every effort to make sure your child(ren) (especially 3rd and 4th graders) are at school all week and on time each day. Please also make sure they have eaten a good breakfast at home OR they may eat breakfast at school beginning at 8:00 a.m.
Please call the elementary office if you have any questions.
