The Davis County and Moulton-Udell Community School District School Boards have named Megan Christiansen as the districts’ next shared superintendent; her contract will officially be presented for approval at the next Davis County board meeting.
Christiansen currently serves as superintendent of the Teton School District in Idaho. In this role, she supervises the education, safety, and care of students, while also evaluating administrators and department directors. She led an audit to determine the state of the district’s schools and developed, and is implementing, a priority plan based on areas of greatest need for the students.
Prior to her time in Idaho, Christiansen was an instructional coach and special education teacher in the Council Bluffs CSD in Iowa. She was also a special education teacher and behavior instructor in the Logan-Magnolia CSD.
“I have interviewed for several teaching and leadership positions in my education career, and this specific day of interviewing with Davis County and Moulton-Udell was very different for me. There was an instant connection and natural feeling with the people and the schools,” said Christiansen. “I am so excited and honored to have the opportunity to support our students, parents, and staff in elevating educational and experiential opportunities for our students and communities to even higher levels! My family and I are coming home!”
Christiansen holds a master’s degree in special education from the University of Nebraska Omaha, a master’s degree in PK-12 education leadership from Doane University, and an Education Specialist degree in PK-12 Education Leadership - Superintendent. She is also currently enrolled in the Doctor of Education program at Northwest Nazarene University. She has more than 25 years of experience in K-12 leadership and instruction.
“Megan brings a wealth of experience, energy, and passion for education that will undoubtedly benefit our children and our community,” said Davis County CSD Board President Jeff Greiner. “We are excited to support her in this new role and look forward to the positive impact she will have on our school.”
“On behalf of the Moulton-Udell Board of Directors, staff, students, and administrators, we are excited to welcome Megan Christiansen to the Eagles family,” said Moulton-Udell CSD Board President Tiffany Muszynski. “We know that with Mrs. Christiansen’s compassion and leadership, our students will fly to even higher levels.”
Board members worked with Grundmeyer Leader Services to conduct the search. Christiansen will officially begin leading the Davis County and Moulton-Udell CSDs effective July 1, 2025.
