School Board Member Compensation and Expenses
As a locally elected public official, a school board member is a public servant who serves without compensation. No board member shall receive compensation for their position as a school board member.
Board members shall be reimbursed for actual and necessary expenses incurred in the performance of their official duties. It shall be the responsibility of the board secretary to compile the expenses of board members and bring them to the attention of the board in the same manner as any other bill of the school district.
